15JAN 2015, 4 hours before the arrival of Pope Francis to the Philippines, we headed for the streets to get ourselves positioned to witness the passing of his convoy.
To our surprise, there are already people gathered along the streets, with policemen and volunteers starting to cordon the street sides. The streets are still open for traffic, but people are slowly swarming the streets and in no time this street will be impassable. So we headed for the ticket office along Domestic Road and took our seats. It was only almost 2pm... start the waiting game...
Past 5pm, the plane carrying Pope Francis arrived in Manila. Now it is just a few more minutes before the convoy heads our way. It was already getting dark, but the street is still swarming with more people. People were excited to see the Pope and everyone still have smiles on their faces.
The convoy is here....moving faster than we would have hoped to see the Pope for long... 4 hours of waiting, in 15 seconds... it done.
19JAN 2015. Pope Francis leaving the Philippines. I was on duty and didn't had the chance to bid farewell to the Pope, but Tutel was able to see Pope Francis clearly in day light...
Thank You for the visit Pope Francis! Thank you for the messages and for bringing hope to this nation :)
