I am fond of cars. Not really an avid enthusiast who knows in detail car models by year and how fast they get from zero to 100mph.. but I get my share of cars. Movies with fast cars, car magazines, websites featuring cars, motoring and how to fix your car, etc. All those, but have never been to a [real] car show. So when PGA scheduled one nearby, I asked Tutel if we could go cause I really wanted to see one (haha, did I really ask? or did I just say that we are going?)
So we went to Mall of Asia, SMX for the Car show. There were a lot of activities at MOA at that time. Traffic was so bad that portion of roads were closed and finding a spot to park was a challenge. It was only the 5th floor of the parking building near the Arena that was empty, so that's where we parked and walked our way back to SMX.
I was excited to get my first car show and of course I brought my camera with me. I am not going to miss this chance without a picture! Even before we entered the hall, there was already a porsche boxster outside which made me more excited.
After paying Php 150 for the entrance fee, we started feasting our eyes on the lovely cars.
The participants of the car show - Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini and Bentley. I started moving around like a kid smiling and feasting on all the toys around me... Toys for the Big Boys.
Porsche... really my dream car(s)! The curves are flowing smoothly from the back to the hood, the unique headlight shape and design, the big alloy rims with Pirelli tires.. I can't get enough of it... but I can not afford it :(
The classics and the newer models.

Bosxter GTS.
I'll settle for the red one... Cayman GTS
Ah, the wheels are beautiful.
Lamborghini's were also very nice. Unique door design that opens upwards... I want to hear them roar...
Bentleys for me is like for the executives (I think, haha!). It looks broad, wide, quite spacious and classy... but I feel like it's very heavy. Maybe not my car type.
Audi. My favorite was the A1. Small and yet just enough for me and Tutel... well, add the top down design, I like that too :)
I was actually expecting more from the car show. I guess I was expecting for more cars. and see those super cars with open hood and take a look at their engines (filled with awe), and maybe hear them roar... And I was hoping that one could seat in one of those machines! hhmmm.... was I expecting too much?
Well, it was still an amazing experience! Another first, but I'm sure it won't be the last time I'll see a car show. As I always say, there is always a first time... and once you get that first one, you'll be more comfortable for the next to come.

Recently went to my first car show too, I thought they were all bout the models showing off the cars. I was pleasantly surprised to not only see some amazing new designs, we got to really get a hands-on feel for all the new cars coming out this year. I am already saving my pennies for next years car show.

I can still remember my first car show today. It was a few decades ago. I was so excited about it because I have always had a fascination with cars and I was taught that in a way cars are sort of art. Sometimes they are not, though, at all art, just something thrown together and not nice to see.

That is an awesome looking Porsche. I remember my first car show when I was a little boy. My dad took us and the whole family to the car show and I remember we were all blown away at all the shiny cars and things to see. Thank you for sharing your experience with us look forward to reading more.
