BUTTERED CRABS IN OYSTER SAUCE

Since Tutel and I have been fond of eating seafoods, we "feast" whenever Tutel's mom sends crabs from their province- Paracale, Camarines Norte, Philippines.  Fortunately, I just have the perfect recipe that I have learned for these crabs.  My specialty - Buttered Crabs in Oyster Sauce.

So, I am going to share with you, how to prepare this lovely dish:)

You will need-
1.  Pre-cooked crabs
2.  Finely Chopped Garlic (1 clove)
3.  2 tablespoons Butter
4.  1 glass of Colorless soda (meaning not Coke nor Pepsi)
5.  Chopped Red Chili Fingers (depending on how hot you want your serving to be)
6.  1 cup oyster Sauce
7.  2 beaten eggs

Preparing the dish -
1.  Pre-cook crabs and set aside (break shells of the claws, half the crab body to expose
insides. this will allow flavor to sip into the crabs...later).
2.  Using a medium fire, melt butter in pan and saute garlic until slightly brown.
3.  Add the chopped Red Chili fingers (this will spice up the dish)
4.  Saute for 1 minute.
5.  Add in your crabs.
6.  Pour soda drink and cover your pan (this will add a little sweetness to the dish)
7.  Allow to simmer for about 2 minutes to allow the soda and butter to sip through the
     crabs.
8.  Pour in 1 cup of Oyster Sauce (you may actually add a little more, depending on how
thick you want the "sauce" to be).
9.  Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken.
10. Pour in the beaten eggs and stir lightly until the eggs are cooked (the eggs will actually
make your sauce thicker when it is cooked).

You're done!

This dish gives the tastes of battling sweetness and spice!  You will surely enjoy this dish most specially if you are a seafood lover.  Try this recipe as a twist from your regular buttered crabs!

Hope you learned something new! I hope that you enjoyed reading this as much as we enjoyed sharing this delicious dish to you!
