ART: PHOTOGRAPHY

We love taking pictures whenever we travel, attend parties, weddings, and other times when we just feel that a 2GB of memory is not enough to have yourself photograph in so many angles you cannot decide which one to post in your friendster or facebook account (hehe!).

Recently, I was browsing through the internet and read about digital photography. It was then that we started capturing images in a different way, something we didn't imagine we can actually do with our digital camera even if we are non-professional photographers.

We would like to share some tips that you can try for yourselves as it has worked "miracles" for us.

The following pictures are original shots, unedited.

Shot Angle is important. This is an Acer 4100 Travelmate Laptop, captured in a
"good angle" ... it creates a different "view" of an ordinary laptop.

Sunsets are one of the many beauties one can capture.  This one taken in a snap shot.....

Same scene, with a slight change of camera angle.....can work wonders!

Working with colors and light.

One has to determine the correct settings when you capture in different lights. Whether you have to use flash or not, the correct "mode" to use and of course the angle of taking the picture.

Glass of soft drinks, fluorescent lights.

Slight angle change, no flash, night mode.... and you get....

First shot.

Second Shot... more color and life... all with the slightest angle change....

Bottles.

Bottle with lighting.

Blurring the background.

From your digital camera, focus on your subject. Press the capture button once and then hold,
once the camera focuses the image, move your subject away from the center of the viewer,
then capture (press capture button one more time from hold).

Pencils.

Gatorade.

This one taken from a mirror reflection (we were attending a wedding reception).
Night mode, no flash.

These are just some of the wonders your digital camera can capture. You just have to learn how to get the right angles, right light, right timing.... you'll be shooting like a professional photographer in no time. PRACTICE AND HAVE FUN!

Hope you enjoyed this article.
